According to the Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary 11th edition the definition of the word “compassion” is: “Sympathetic consciousness of others’ distress together with a desire to alleviate it”. Very well, by the definition thus given we see right off the bat that compassion is more than just a feeling, or a pretentious connection with others’ pain. This presentation is focused on long-term prisoner support, specifically for Eric McDavid and Marie Mason, two eco-prisoners. The show will also cover ways to more effectively grow a culture of resistance that can breach the prison walls and sustain us for a long time to come, as well as a security culture beyond 101 workshop with awesome guest speakers!
